Our trip home

I've been so busy working on everyone's sessions that I almost forgot I had our OWN pictures to upload! So here are a few stories and our favorite pictures from Layla and I's time at home.

We started the trip off by staying a few days/nights with Grandma and Grandpa Barton. Layla got her first ever bubble bath (don't judge...she got a UTI last year, was the sickest she's ever been in her life and I was told no bubble baths...but I figured one time couldn't hurt).

Then we visited a nearby park and picked flowers.

And played on the slide with Daddy. For some reason she all of a sudden thinks slides are "spooky" and won't go down by herself anymore.

Then we visited the children's museum. She was SO excited about this!

So were the boys...

She thought the water table was pretty cool once Daddy showed her what to do. Then she didn't want other kids playing with it LOL.

She she really liked painting on the "walls" with Grandma!

Flying a plane with Daddy

After the children's museum we made a trip to Kreckles. Oh how I miss those grease patties cheeseburgers, fries and hot fudge shakes!

On Monday we headed over to Grandma and Grandpa U's house to celebrate Paw Paw's birthday. This is such a sweet picture

And that's all the picture taking L was into...here we are saying goodbye to everyone.

Aunt Susie tried to get a hug, Layla wasn't having it. LOL

Then we headed to Grandma and Grandpa Mudd's house. First up- cookie decorating (what else?)

And had a run in with the sprinkler...

Aunt Ralie and Uncle Clint got to visit with us on Tuesday. Of course, I forgot to get pictures (I was all pictured out after doing 6 sessions in 2 days!) Sorry guys, I promise I'll get one next time!

Later in the week we went fishing with Grandma and Grandpa. She caught 8 fish and even touched a few of them!

And here is a video of her catch:

I tried to stage a picture to compare from this time last year. Layla had other ideas...here is this year:

And this was last year...what a difference!

And here is one of my favorites from this year:

Grandma decided to take Thursday off and take Layla to the zoo. L loved seeing the turtles fighting...

And riding the choo choo train!

I would give a million dollars for this picture to be in focus LOL

We took Layla out on the boat Thursday night. We just basically hooked the boat up and went to the lake...no swim suite or anything because I didn't think she's like it. In typical Layla fashion, she acted the exact opposite than what I thought she'd act. She LOVED the boat, in fact...she is now OBSESSED with the boat. She kept telling Paw Paw to go "faster faster!!".

On Friday Layla got to see her first play with Grandma Barton. She took her to see Pinkalicious in Sullivan while I got some much needed editing done. L loved it! And she even got lunch and ice cream after. No pictures though, sorry Grandma B!

Finally Daddy came home on Saturday and we went back on the boat. Daddy and Grandpa got to ski and Layla even got to take a dip in the freezing cold water (but not as cold as in MI!). She loved it and didn't want to leave.

We had the busiest trip I think we've ever had this time. Hopefully we'll get to see more friends next time!

16 weeks already?!

I can't believe how fast this pregnancy is going. Baby Button will be here before we know it! I meant to take an orange shirt picture before we left for IL last week but just didn't get to it. Turns out that I'm not THAT much bigger than I was at 11 weeks...

Ok, maybe I am bigger. I sure feel bigger. But the sickness is gone, I'm getting my energy back (for now) and I actually sleeping a little bit better. The trade off for all that has been headaches/migraines the past few weeks. I got them with Layla too, the only difference is I can't take medicine that knocks me out because I have big sis to take care of. Oh well, I've had lots of help these last few weeks (thank you thank you THANK YOU!!) and they seem to be easing up.

We find out what we are having July 11th. I've had lots of people ask me about names and truthfully, we haven't really talked about it yet. We are pretty sure we will go with Jack Edward (that was the plan with L) if it is a boy, and I really like the name Liv but might had to settle for Olivia since I really don't want to have to L's (but she'd go by Liv...so is that really even an issue?!). Ugh...and no middle name for a girl...haven't even THOUGHT about it. Decisions decisions...

The next time we take a belly shot will be 20 weeks (eeeeekkkkk) AND we'll know what we are having. Since we didn't do anything majorly special for our family when we found out (just a phone call and/or some cookies) everyone will have to stay tuned for a special gender announcement around July 11th!
