Boo at the Zoo

Let's face it, this visit home wasn't about seeing family…it was to celebrate Halloween in our hometown. Haha, just kidding!! But the fact that we got to do so many of my favorite Halloween activities WHILE visiting family was just icing on the cake. ;o)

We had such a busy trip home. We spent the first few days with Bryan's family and they were kind enough to take us to Boo at the Zoo and let my Mom and Bob tag along.

Boo at the Zoo along with the Pumpkin Patch (more on that in a different blog) was always the highlight of fall for me. Words can not describe how exciting these two things are for me, it is actually kind of pathetic. Last year I was VERY sad to miss both, we had just moved to Midland and couldn't justify a trip home for it. But, no matter what, I don't want to miss it again!

So here are a few pictures of our Boo at the Zoo visit.

The gang entering the zoo

The talking pumpkin...she was pretty amazed

Telling a bird to "get down". As you can see, her costume didn't last long :(

They give the kids tickets to hand to each station attendant for a special treat!

Layla eating her first frosting stuffed oatmeal cookie. She loved it!

Choo choo!! Layla is starting to really enjoy trains

But she didn't enjoy riding it so much...she played Angry Birds the entire time...little stinker!

L with Gma and Gpa Barton (and again...that silly apple!)
